Homer [if I am correct] will have a max. count of 4 players on his server,and if Homer and me are willing to play in MR,Poetz,Gen0,or Reliquary [all 350+ ping,often 450+] , then we might find a few people who want to play on Homer's also [the demo users closer to our timezone,for instance].. anyway,the point is,the server works,but it's not being advertised..

I don't think the aimbot and other cheating devices is the cause of this ,because UT2004 has many Indian servers,with one or two online 24/7 and they are advertised.Unfortunately,I'm as clueless as you are,and have no solutions for Homer's problem.

in many games assian country ip address are block because the countries have no laws against spamming or they dont value electronic copyrights of data which lets people in those countries do whatever they want, to the networks of those games. i bet Ut could have ips blocked from servers. i can check on that later now party time for newyears, HAPPY NEW YEARS!

And he's right, some countries block alot of stuff (I know that China blocks alot I-Net stuff), so that might be a reason.

But I'm playing with someone I enjoy playing with, so we gonna have fun, and that's what a game is all about

Well he hosts a dedicated CS 1.6 server on his PC with a 256kbps connection and 12 slots.(Counter strike is VERY popular in Asia...sometimes you can see upto 25,000 servers..!!!)

So his server works absolutely fine even with 12 slots at 256kbps.

Dude...CS 1.6 is a good,but really basic game..it gets more complex with UT2003 [I still don't agree with ßrights¡∂e on the "Advertise BAN for some countries"] .. and get it in your head,bro,256KBPS is .. SLOW.

256Kbps u can'tr host a server and they player who play was 450 Ping.

after setting up the ut2003.ini I use this to start my server

BotSkill probably doesn't work, I add it neverless.

WebAdmin only work for me so far
I didn't change the WebAdmin port so it's 80.

I can join WebAdmin by useing my LAN-IP (which I also have to use for joining my own server)
But the WebAdmin doesn't work if you use the Server-IP.
Dunno why.
Maybe I've to change WebAdmin port....

Speed wouldn't matter thaaaaaat much if the server is based in india....and you are located in France. [Just a few 1000 km's -_-]

For example,you are going to get lesser ping on a french server with a 256 kbps connection than a INDIAN server with a 8mbps connection.

I know tht but if u want host a server my ping will be too high
